ERCRS runs two homework clubs for primary school aged children. Our program in St Albans was established in 2002, and Tarneit was established in 2018. Both program provide five after-school homework support over three days. Children from grades 3-6 are supported to do their homework by adult tutors from the community, and from high school students who volunteer with the programs. Our coordinators also provide workbooks and individualised activities for children to meet their needs and interests. ERCRS also runs a wide range of excursions for students who participate in the clubs, including trips to the zoo, the Arts Centre, local farms, beaches and aquatic centres to name but a few. Our homework clubs are educational and make an important contribution to supporting children’s learning - but they are also lots of fun! They are places where kids can meet and work with other young people and members of the community, and can try new things in a safe place.
